You’re Already A Better Leader Than You Think

Leadership is a hard enough job without beating yourself up for not getting everything perfect or holding yourself accountable to unrealistic expectations.

In this workshop you will identify and acknowledge your strengths, power, passion and connectedness. We will explore some of the most prevalent fallacies of leadership and how those are impacting your leadership effectiveness and holding you back. At the end you will be able to identify how to capitalize on your strengths to build a cohesive, high performing team, increase your leadership confidence and deliver greater results.

Be prepared to take a journey that will challenge your assumptions and unleash your brilliance. Using brain research, physics, philosophy, psychology, sociology, and your personal experiences and insights we will focus on the following fallacies and their alternatives:

Fallacy #1: Acquire the Traits of the Great Leaders
No leader is perfect nor 100% consistent. By identifying your unique strengths, passion, values and purpose you will increase your effectiveness and lead your team to amazing results. Through identification of your survival strengths you will realize failure patterns and how to not get hooked into the behaviors that limit your impact.

Fallacy #2: Power and Ego are Dirty Words
An ego and desire for power are part of what catapulted you into leadership. Instead of trying to achieve an absence of power, understand your current profile of power. Understand your profile’s effectiveness on your team’s morale, sense of responsibility and outcomes, how it impacts your personal coaching style and how it impacts how you manage upward. Learn ways to adjust your power and personal needs to increase your effectiveness

Fallacy #3: Suspend Judgment for Interpersonal Effectiveness
Understand why your brain can’t suspend judgment and why your mind provides justifications that have little to do with what you think is happening around you. By focusing on connectedness and forgiving ourselves we can create even greater engagement with each individual for higher performance and better relationships.
